Sheryl-Underwood

Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian and television host best known as the anchor on The Talk, a popular talk show broadcast on daytime television. She was born in Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl comes from a troubled family. She spent most her childhood caring for her younger sister Frankie. Frankie was a patient of polio. She was in trouble with her mother while growing as a teenager. Sheryl alleges that, in an instance she was stabbed by her mother's father after he became close to her. Sheryl, after graduating college, joined the army. Her passion for the military was comedy. She was the first woman to win the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. In 1992 she made her TV debut as a regular performer in the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. She hosted the show in 2000. The show Oh Drama! In 2011, she's a cohost of the talk show. She has also played fictional roles in series including Bulworth Nikki and Beauty Shop.
