Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a writer from Greece, a syndicated writer of columns and businesswoman. She's written 15 books. She is also the co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is an author TV personality, philanthropist, and the owner of the independent open online newsmagazine The Huffington Post. Originating from Greece she moved to England when she was 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first president and she took it at the age of 21. When she graduated, she made her mark as an editorialist for the conservative syndicate and with the launch of The Huffington Post' few years later, she launched an online voice platform that provided critical views about the current political climate. It was her celebrity that helped to attract several famous contributors who shared their views on current events, politics and culture. Arianna became famous during 2003 when she volunteered in California's recall vote, replacing then Governor Davis. Alongside this she also led the Detroit Project for fuel-efficient cars. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as one of the top women in the media, achieving 12th place on the listing and the following year the Guardian listed her on the top 100 list of media. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her the president of their media company that also includes other AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is a daughter born to Konstantinos the manager's advisor as well as a journalist. Although she had a close friendship with both of her parents, it was their bond that shaped her. As a child she displayed leadership qualities that she still is known for. When she moved to England, she was 16, to pursue her education and was accepted into Girton College Cambridge. In college, she was a member of the Cambridge Union, a college debating club. The third female president and first foreigner, she was the president for the Cambridge Union. In 1972, her Master's in Economics was awarded. Her professional career as a journalist and television host began after she graduated. Additionally, she starred alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
