
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her most famous role was Miss Bala (2011), the Mexican crime-drama film. The actress went on to be seen in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016) and Annabelle: Creation (2017). Sigman appeared in Narcos (2015) as and S.W.A.T.(2017) The first and second seasons , respectively. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico, to a Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. By virtue of her father, she is a U.S. citizen. The father of her, professional baseball athlete Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. Her career began on Mexican television before she made her debut on film in Rio de Oro. In 2011, she played the leading part in the film Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime drama film Miss Bala. The film was nominated for the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8] However, it was not included in the final list. [9] Sigman received a Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in recognition of her performance as film critic in 2011. The next year, she played Catalina Aguado in the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer in which was a Norwegian thriller.
