Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen, born 6 May 1964, is a Danish actor. He is Danish and has played Troels Hartmann Copenhagen's mayoral candidate in The Killing. [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen was the third series of Sherlock. Viktor Petrov, the Russian president, was portrayed in the American House of Cards. Star Wars Rebels featured Grand Admiral Thrawn as Thrawn. He was presented with the Reumert Prize of Honour in 2011. At 27 years old, he enrolled at National Theatre School of Denmark. He graduated from that school in 1995. He was also in The Killing's drama. [1] He then was on the show in Borgen III and Those Who Kill Both of which were critically well-known Danish drama series. He was also a key part in the episode of BBC drama Sherlock where he played the blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen. In the American television show House of Cards he played the President of Russia. In 2018, he won an International Emmy Award. His part in the Danish TV drama Herrens Veje was rewarded with an International Emmy Award. The show was broadcast in the UK in 2019 as Ride Upon the Storm.
